Lead Cardiac Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Cardiac Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in cardiac outpatient clinics.
About the Role- You will work under the general direction of the Program Director and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical care to patients with complex cardiac conditions.
- Responsibilities will include applying advanced nursing and medical theory to the provision of clinical care, autonomously ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmacologic agents, and performing minor invasive procedures.
- You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote health and prevent illness, demonstrating proficiency in planning, implementing, and evaluating complex care, and demonstrating competence to teach others.

Requirements- A minimum of five years recent acute adult Medicine and/or Surgery and/or Cardiology and/or Cardiac Surgery nursing experience with a related clinical population combining in-depth nursing theory, clinical practice, consultation, education, and research with the delivery of health care services required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Stream or equivalent educational preparation as approved by C.li> required.
- Must be eligible for academic appointment with the University of Manitoba.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a full-time position, with an estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, and pension plan.
