About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning, repairs, and minor construction. They will also be responsible for operating industrial equipment, making adjustments to heating and cooling systems, and contacting contractors for repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Clean hallways, floors, and stairs by sweeping, mopping, and waxing
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Make adjustments to appliances
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads
  • Physically demanding job requiring reliability, flexibility, and organization
