Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. This role involves working with various types of machinery, including Superpans, drum coating machines, rotary pouch fillers, film packaging machines, and downstream packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognized trade license in Ontario (Millwright or Electrician preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial, electrical, or mechanical maintenance, preferably in the food industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with automation systems (PLC, VFD, Servo, HMI) an asset.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. As a member of our team, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
