We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our team at Apollo Convention Centre Inc.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. As a Facilities Maintenance Worker, you will be the face of our organization, providing excellent customer service to our clients and staff while performing your duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all facilities, including hallways, floors, stairs, and bathrooms.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt from floors and other surfaces.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and make adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Conduct safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our clients and staff.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.

About You:

  • You have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • You are physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to work independently.
  • You are reliable, flexible, and dependable.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
