Job Title: Medical Care Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at THE ROCK MEDICAL CENTRE. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, including conducting medical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing treatments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations to diagnose and treat various health conditions
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed
  • Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs
  • Consult with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide patients with health education and advice on healthy habits and wellness
  • Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to relevant authorities
  • Counsel patients and their families on various health issues

Requirements:

  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
