The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our care team, providing exceptional support and care to residents in accordance with their individual needs and care plans. This role requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident-Centered Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, promote their independence, and maintain their dignity.
- Documentation: Accurately document and report care and related observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in a timely manner.
- Safety: Contribute to a safe environment for residents, the team, and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices.
- Teamwork: Work cooperatively with other team members to evaluate and change the documented care needs of residents.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the Government of Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
