Bakery Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Store Baker to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a Store Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of fresh goods, including bread, pastries, and other baked products.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation: Measure, mix, and prepare raw materials according to company specifications and recipes.
- Baking and Quality Control: Form, cut, mold, shape, and bake dough to ensure high-quality products.
- Temperature and Humidity Control: Monitor cooking completion times and set heat and humidity temperatures for proof box.
- Quality Assurance: Check product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
- Logistics and Maintenance: Ensure temp, sweep, and sanitation logs are completed, and maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
- Inventory Management: Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Compliance and Safety: Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Product Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of baked goods and ingredients.
- Merchandising Expectations: Working knowledge and application of all merchandising expectations within the department.
- Quality and Safety: Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, policies, and procedures.
- Math and Technical Skills: Basic math skills for recipe conversions and modifications, and ability to use point of sale electronic systems.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Lifting and Mobility: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
- Hand Use and Work Environment: Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
