Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Baking and Quality Control: Bake mixed dough and batters, ensuring that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are readily available.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Bake shop or similar environment.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
