Account Manager, Sales & Leasing

At Maxim Truck and Trailer, we're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our sales team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new business opportunities through targeted outreach and relationship-building
  • Manage lease accounts to ensure fleet availability meets customer needs
  • Prepare sales quotes that balance customer satisfaction with profitability
  • Closing sales deals efficiently and effectively
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Appraise trade-ins by gathering detailed information and conducting visual inspections
  • Perform yard checks of units, as needed, and collaborate with other branches and departments
  • Complete administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in front-line customer service and sales
  • 1+ years in the truck and trailer industry or related field
  • Background in sales and administration
  • Sales and business administration courses an asset
  • Understanding of fleet maintenance practices an asset
  • Driver's License; Class 1 or 3 with air brakes an asset
  • Customer service and sales-focused
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with people at all levels
  • Strong negotiation, listening, and closing skills
  • Organized, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines
  • Regularly sets and meets priorities and long-term goals
  • Attentive to detail, shows accuracy in work
  • Self-managed and shows initiative
  • Proficient with MS Excel/Word, email, internet, and keyboarding
  • Ability to learn in-house computer system; Karmak knowledge an asset
  • Ability to complete ongoing product sales training
  • Shows assertiveness, persuasiveness, and initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work outdoors while conducting vehicle checks
