About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Security Engineer III to join our team at Sierra Space. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing secure operating systems, networks, and security monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure operating systems and networks
- Develop and implement security controls and protocols
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments
- Develop and implement incident response and digital forensics plans
- Manage IT security systems and applications
- Research and evaluate new security tools and technologies
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about cybersecurity and has a strong background in systems security, network engineering, or a related field. You should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline
- At least 6 years of relevant experience
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and current CI polygraph U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISSM CAP, CISSP, or CISM Certification
- ISSE CAP, CISSP-ISSEP Certification
- ISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ Certification
- Extensive Splunk experience and/or Certification
- MCSE, Linux, and/or CCNP Security Certification
Working Conditions:
- Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
- Rarely exposed to loud noises
