Job Title: Automotive Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Toronto Car Sales & Auto Services. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Provide customer service

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Own vehicle

Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, dusty, outdoors, dirty, hot, noisy

Work Setting: Garage, workshop

Area of Specialization: Engine repair, diesel engines, alignment, steering and suspension, brake system, hydraulic system, ignition and electrical system, engine repair and overhaul
