Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Bramgate Automotive. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Provide customer service
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel and rim mechanic
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 37.5 to 44 hours per week. The work setting is a workshop, and the language of work is English.
