We are a global benchmark for quality and integrity, recognized as a leader in the supply chain and operations consulting industry. With 98,000 employees operating in 2,650 offices and laboratories worldwide, we work together to enable a better, safer, and more interconnected world.

Our clients trust us to deliver accelerated, sustainable improvements in EBITDA, cash, resilience, and growth across their procurement, logistics, operations, and data analytics. We achieve this by delivering hands-on implementation expertise to executives and their teams, rapidly breaking through functional silos and transforming the digital supply chain to deliver the greatest ethical value to customers and stakeholders at the lowest cost and risk to business.

As a Senior Consultant – Procurement, Materials Workstream Lead (chemicals, construction services, process chemicals), you will be responsible for collaborating with our Delivery Teams to deliver superior results based on the scope of the assignment. You will be assigned to the Procurement category/work stream and collaborate with other SGS Maine Pointe resources to identify and analyze issues/inefficiencies and develop a roadmap for improved procurement processes during Phase I (Analysis), and/or during Phase 2 (Engagement).

You will engage with the client and your SGS MP team to implement appropriate solutions resulting in quantifiable cost savings, improved sourcing capabilities, and strategic procurement processes for assigned clients. This may include market analysis, supplier analysis, total cost analysis, and needs analysis. Your responsibilities will also include supporting execution of strategy by qualifying supplier participants, gathering detailed customer needs, and executing RFXs. You will understand and analyze existing client procurement spend, processes, strategies, and results.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, engineering, operations management, business, or a relevant field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement strategy, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supplier relationship management is required, including experience with traditional purchasing processes and a combination of top-tier consulting firm and in-house/industry experience with a proven record of rapid career progression.

You must have previous work experience in the downstream oil and gas business, experience leading and driving complex operation transformation engagements in a customer environment where change management was critical to success. Additionally, you should have the ability to develop, sustain, and proactively manage value-added customer relationships. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is also essential.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
