Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Climate Science to join our Climate Strategy team at RBC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the overall Enterprise vision to own and accelerate RBC's climate ambition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of sectoral climate strategies, with a focus on financed and facilitated emissions measurement.
  • Implement methodologies for financed and facilitated emissions through proof-of-concept analytical pipelines, authoring documentation and slides, and collaborating with internal technical and business teams.
  • Provide research and analytics support for the development and implementation of sectoral climate strategies, including quantitative and qualitative financial, economic, policy, and disclosure research.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years of data science or analytics in support of strategic initiatives as a consultant or in a corporate function.
  • Expert in analyzing large datasets using Python and SQL and developing quantitative economic/financial modelling in Excel.
  • Experience working in corporate sustainability, and/or sector decarbonization.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving approaches and synthesis of key insights.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and timelines simultaneously.
