Job Overview

The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to support the development and execution of strategic research initiatives.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Associate Scientific Director and works collaboratively with the Institute team to achieve project objectives.

The successful candidate will contribute to research facilitation activities, conduct literature reviews, develop reports and analyses, manage records, participate in operational meetings, and support the Associate Scientific Director in writing concept papers and business cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of work plans and deliverables for strategic research initiatives
  • Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans to inform research activities
  • Develop reports, analyses, briefings, and presentations to ensure effective strategic development and implementation of projects/initiatives
  • Manage and update Institute records, including funding data, asset maps, stakeholder and reviewer lists
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings and contribute to key initiatives led or partnered by the Institute
  • Support the Associate Scientific Director in conducting Relevance Review/Project validation exercises as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, plus a minimum of two years of experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in both official languages is an asset
  • Experience in preparation of health-related reports and publications
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders
What We Offer

The University of British Columbia offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, pension plan, and access to on-campus fitness facilities.
