Job Overview

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead strategic development initiatives across the organization.

This role will be responsible for driving project plans and ensuring effective project management, including establishing project charters, objectives, timelines, and critical paths. Collaboration with stakeholders, engagement of resources, facilitation of project activities, progress monitoring, problem resolution, and recommendations to senior management will also be key aspects of this position.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Health Services Administration or a related field, along with more than 10 years of recent experience in hospital budgeting, managing strategic and operational projects, and facilitating consultation processes with diverse stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and goals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, maintaining financial responsibility and consistency with overall goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, stakeholders, and project teams to drive project success, resolve issues, and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of available resources, provide feedback, and make recommendations as required.
  • Apply project management principles, methodologies, and best practices to drive efficient project delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Health Services Administration or a related field.
  • More than 10 years of recent experience in hospital budgeting, managing strategic and operational projects, and facilitating consultation processes with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Current registration with relevant professional College/Association, if applicable.
