What is the Opportunity?

As the Senior Manager, Identity Access Management Systems Engineering, you will be responsible for leading, implementing, and owning Privileged Access Management (PAM) Services within RBC. The ideal candidate is passionate about authentication, information security, and has experience leading to build large-scale enterprise software. We are seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer with direct experience in authentication platforms, identity access management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and in building complex rule-based systems for authorization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement technical solutions and designs for Enterprise secrets management services.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of a secrets management service implementation from initial internal hand-off from Business Analysts and Project Program teams to installation, system configuration, and testing.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HashiCorp Vault, and/or Privilege Access Management service architecture, tools, and products.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for during the implementation from a technical perspective on issues such as performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Handle escalations where necessary and manage partner as well as internal resources expectations.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions around solutions and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies by leveraging automation and other techniques.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Privilege Access Management service architecture, tools, and products (HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk).
  • Provide guidance for during the implementation from a technical perspective on issues such as performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Document detailed designs and define technical solutions that take into account the enterprise IAM architecture strategies, current state environment, and constraints.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and interface groups using a variety of techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical developer experience in DevOps Automation Pipelines, leading projects end to end.
  • Proficiency in implementing concepts and technologies in DevOps, IT operations, security, cloud, microservices, containers, and scheduling platforms including cloud suite and services experience (ie. Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Elasticsearch, Helios, Jenkins).
  • 3+ years of IAM experience with strong knowledge in development (installation, configuration, and coding) of HashiCorp Vault and/or CyberArk.
  • Experience with implementing vendor products or solutions to large enterprise organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership experience to manage large projects or people management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure and application automation security implementation using SSO, SAML, IDM, OAUTH, Hashicorp, and/or CyberArk.
  • Experience with architecture and implementation of automation solutions using Ansible, Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Git, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD tools.
