Job Title: Director of Schools

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our school community as Director of Schools. This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for the Montessori method and a commitment to providing a high-quality learning experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education licensing regulations to achieve a clear license annually in compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act for Quality Improvement
  • Develop and implement a high-standard inclusive Montessori program, meeting AMI standards
  • Coordinate and implement community outreach and promotional activities to recruit children and families to achieve optimum enrolment in programs
  • Stay informed about provincial licensing requirements and ensure the daycare adheres to all regulations
  • Actively engage with the local community, building partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Build a strong community among staff, parents, and children
  • Possess a strong knowledge of Ontario's childcare regulations and licensing requirements
  • Experience in researching and writing grant applications is an asset

Requirements:

  • AMI/ MACTE Certified Montessori Teacher, RECE/ OCT
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Montessori experience and childcare management
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C within 3 months of hire
