Are you a seasoned project manager looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for client service and team development? We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at GeoVerra in Victoria, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
  • Monitor project and team performance, forecasting project outcomes and adjusting as necessary to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Manage client expectations, scope creep, and scope changes through active communication.
  • Engage in diverse leadership responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, scheduling, and attendance administration.
  • Motivate and inspire crew members, encouraging high performance and a commitment to excellence.
  • Optimize resource utilization to ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects concurrently.
  • Identify and resolve client, project, and team issues.
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure quality, safety, legislation, and industry standards are met or exceeded.
  • Facilitate an environment of high performance, mentoring and supporting the development of self and project team members.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, B.Sc. in Geomatics.
  • Registered as a British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS) is considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of previous project management experience with demonstrated success in managing client expectations, scope, budget/forecast, schedule, and quality sales with new and existing clients.
  • 1+ years of previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
