Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, and construction of major capital asset development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee planning, procurement, and construction of capital asset development projects
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Island Health's strategic plan and Ministry mandates
  • Manage a portfolio of over $880M in assets
  • Develop and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervise and provide direction to others
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risk
  • Develop and implement processes to meet tight and evolving timelines
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 15 years' recent experience in progressively more complex and senior management/leadership roles in a large complex healthcare organization
  • 5 years' recent experience as a Chief Project Officer responsible for managing large, complex capital projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other related accounting procedures/principles
  • Ability to lead, plan, direct, and implement processes
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The work location is in person.

Compensation: $87.61-$131.42 per hour
