Pharmacy Operations Supervisor

The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient drug distribution system and participates in the supervision of Pharmacy Practice Assistants (PPAs) and students. In addition, the Supervisor is involved with a full range of quality improvement processes, including monitoring product acquisition and drug shortage issues, while aiding in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. They resolve technical and medication distribution issues as required, while maintaining budgets for assigned work areas, including compensation and supplies.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician/Technology Program graduate or equivalent with a strong background in pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' related experience in a hospital setting, with 1 year of supervisory experience being an asset. Knowledge of sterile technique and special precautions used with chemotherapy, as well as experience in unit dose drug distribution systems, automation technology, and decentralized medication dispensing cabinets, are also highly desirable. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong planning, evaluative, and leadership skills. They will also have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel between sites.
Hours and CompensationThis is a long-assignment position, working 75 hours bi-weekly, with a salary of $31.61 per hour. The successful candidate may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
