Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business meets its financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of pharmacy staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the receipt, preparation, and delivery of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements, ensuring adequate stock to meet customer needs.
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications, providing friendly and proactive interaction.
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives, such as public health days and clinics.
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests/issues.
  • Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution, identifying and reporting sales opportunities both internally and externally.
  • Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong people management skills and ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Proven ability to build business using community-based marketing strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans.
  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy systems.
