Senior Systems Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Designer to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As a key member of our Intelligent Integrated Systems group, you will be responsible for designing and engineering audiovisual, telecommunications, security, and intelligent building systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement system engineering concepts for projects, including tender documentation, design briefs, cost documentation, site reports, and computer models.
- Collaborate with project managers to prepare all system engineering calculations and select equipment.
- Ensure proper coordination of documents with internal and external project teams, including architects, interior designers, and other disciplines.
- Review and approve all deliverables for completeness and accuracy, adhering to company standards and quality management processes.
- Liaise with external consultants and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in audiovisual, telecommunications, or security design and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, MS Project, and Visio.
- Full understanding of codes and standards relevant to the project and ability to communicate requirements to the project team, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a complex project environment, dealing with multiple projects and clients.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with experience working with other consultants and contractors.
