Overview

Taco Time is a dynamic and fast-paced food service company seeking an experienced shift manager to lead our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled operations expert to oversee the daily activities of our kitchen staff. As a shift manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that food and services meet high quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless operation.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Lead and guide the kitchen staff in their duties, ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Train Staff: Provide comprehensive training to new employees on job duties, kitchen protocols, and customer service expectations.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies: Accurately forecast ingredient and supply needs to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified candidates to fill vacant positions in the kitchen.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that all food and services meet the highest quality standards, addressing customer complaints promptly.
  • Manage Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate regular reports on sales, inventory, and employee performance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A minimum of a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Languages: English language proficiency.
Work Conditions

This role requires standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $60,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
