Job Description

Mackenzie Health is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead the implementation and transformation of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for HR. As the HR Lead, you will play a critical role in streamlining HR operations and implementing best practices to optimize the HR system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance on the implementation of the HR functionality of the new ERP system.
  • Streamline HR operations and implement best practices to optimize the HR system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of the ERP system.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term technology plans to deliver the department's business goals and objectives.
  • Develop HR business cases for new technology solutions.
  • Provide ongoing process and system support and guidance to the HR department and system users post-implementation.
  • Monitor and interpret trends and best practices specific to HR and advise the Director, ERP Planning & Implementation on future development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in a Human Resources, Information Technology Management, Computer Science or Business Program or related combination of education & experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience with translating HR business requirements into project requirements preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience managing HR applications and enabling technology.
  • In-depth knowledge across a wide spectrum of HR processes, principles, compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills, including above average writing & presentation skills, for working with individuals and teams at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive initiatives in a dynamic organizational environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Strong computer and technology skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health's Commitment to Caring.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Change management expertise with a track record of successfully driving organizational change initiatives, preferably in large, unionized organizations.
  • Previous leadership roles are preferred.
  • Project management, release management, process design, configuration, and testing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability and experience in business process documents and training end-users on new processes.
  • Certification in change management preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is preferred.
