About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at NOV.8 SUSHI GALORE. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Assist in planning and executing menu items, including creating new recipes and modifying existing ones to meet customer preferences.
    • Ensure that all menu items meet our high standards for quality and presentation.
  • Culinary Operations
    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, including sushi, entrees, and desserts.
    • Supervise and assist cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Inventory Management
    • Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies.
    • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and make recommendations for repairs or replacement as needed.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service, including responding to customer complaints and feedback.
    • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills, including sushi preparation techniques.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
