Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a People Scheduling Clerk to join the North Shore staffing team at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC.

As a People Scheduling Clerk, you will be responsible for performing staff scheduling and timekeeping duties for designated units and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, adjusting, and posting staff rotations from the master rotation.
  • Reviewing the master rotation and flow sheets, and allocating and calling in relief nursing and non-nursing staff using an electronic system.
  • Ensuring that staff with relevant skills are scheduled and available.
  • Receiving and processing vacation and other staff requests, and responding to written and verbal enquiries from staff and managers.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 plus four (4) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with others effectively and collaboratively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment.
