Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our innovative production facility in Mississauga, ON.
This role will play a vital part in the administration of day-to-day operations within the Maintenance department, focusing on vendor management, work order management, and general organization of maintenance operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement a planned maintenance schedule, control inventory, and requisition new and spare parts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and laying out work assignments as advised by the maintenance management team.
- Assisting with the development of a planned maintenance schedule.
- Controlling inventory and requisitioning new and spare parts.
- Handling work orders in the Manufacturing Execution System.
- Optimizing preventative maintenance work orders.
- Reviewing documented findings of preventative and predictive work orders assessments and developing and scheduling corrective work orders.
- Identifying and detailing any safety requirements in the job.
- Participating and supporting Health & Safety, Environmental Management Systems, 5S, and energy conservation initiatives.
Requirements include:
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a plastics manufacturing industry is a definite asset.
- Solid understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management systems (CMMS) or software programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial maintenance operations and equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven knowledge and experience with 5S methodology.
- Above-average planning, organizational, and scheduling skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.

This is a full-time position that reports into the Maintenance Manager, working a 40-hour work week (Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 3:30pm).
