Plastering Specialist

At Best Way Constructions, we are seeking a skilled Plastering Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and wall finishing, with the ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, as well as applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster. They will also be required to clean and prepare surfaces, cure freshly plastered surfaces, and cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
Additional responsibilities will include finishing corners and angles, creating decorative designs in the finish coat, mixing plaster ingredients to the desired consistency, and molding and installing ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim. The successful candidate will also be required to position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, smooth out excess compound, and allow coats to dry.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced plastering specialist who can work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat
- Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
- Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- English language proficiency
