Job Title: Architectural Draftsperson

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team at GAGE METAL CLADDING LIMITED.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and training new drafting personnel. They will also develop and prepare design sketches, complete documentation packages and drawing sets, and examine drawings for conformity and errors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy.
  • Train new drafting personnel on company procedures and software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and presentation materials.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets for clients.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors, and make necessary corrections.
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements.
  • Lead and instruct groups on drafting and design procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in drafting and design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
