About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team at GAGE METAL CLADDING LIMITED. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, working closely with clients, engineers, and production specialists to ensure project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents to determine work requirements.
  • Train and mentor new drafting personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches, documentation packages, and drawing sets for projects.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors, and consult with clients and engineers to resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with production specialists to ensure designs are feasible and meet production requirements.
Requirements
  • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as architecture, engineering, or drafting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead groups when necessary.
