We are seeking an experienced Addictions Counsellor to join our team at our head office on Dixie Road in Mississauga. This full-time, permanent role requires 75% travel within the community, with mileage reimbursement provided. **Salary:** $54,415 - $62,445 CAD per year (Dixie Road)

**Job Description:**

As a Substance Abuse Withdrawal Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in the development, implementation, operation, and evaluation of PAARC's Community Withdrawal Management Program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting intake, screening, assessment, and treatment planning using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Providing ongoing supportive counselling and case management, including assessment, referral, aftercare, and discharge, while effectively managing a defined caseload.
  • Participating actively in case conferences and consultations with treatment providers and other community organizations, fostering collaborative care.
  • Initiating and maintaining client files and documentation in accordance with best practices and legal guidelines, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited institution or relevant education with commensurate experience.
  • Counselling Skills: Strong evidence-based, trauma-informed counselling skills essential.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in prevalent languages in the Region of Peel and French considered a strong asset.
