Interior Health, a leading healthcare organization in Kamloops, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating billings and statements of account, posting charges and payments, collecting accounts in accordance with policies and procedures, and following up on overdue accounts through correspondence and telephone contacts.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Billings and Statements: Generate accurate and timely billings and statements of account using computer systems or manual methods.
  2. Account Management: Post charges and payments to the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  3. Collection and Follow-up: Collect accounts in accordance with policies and procedures, and follow up on overdue accounts through correspondence and telephone contacts.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education, training, and experience in accounting and customer service.

Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12, with a certificate or official transcript showing proof of completion of a recognized accounting course.
  • Experience: Two years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Skillset: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Estimated Salary:

$58,000 - $68,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
