Licensed Practical Nurse

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics, and follow established protocols.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes resident dignity, autonomy, and independence.
- Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
- Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed your experience or scope of practice.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting any changes in resident status to the RN and taking appropriate action.
- Foster an atmosphere that promotes optimal care and effective functioning of the care team.
- Liaise with medical team members to ensure effective clinical care for all residents.
- Continuously assess your own nursing practice and learning needs.
- Participate in in-service programs and attend conferences to enhance your skills.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification.
- Current First Aid with CPR.
- All applicants must pass a Criminal Records Check.
- Long Term Care Experience.
