Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a critical member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes privacy, dignity, and autonomy.
- Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
- Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed your experience or scope of practice.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting any changes in resident status in a timely manner.
- Foster an atmosphere that promotes optimal care and effective functioning of the assigned resident home area.
- Liaise with medical team members to provide effective clinical care for all residents.
- Continually assess your own nursing practice and learning needs.
- Participate in in-service programs and attend conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Document priorities, target dates, and strategies or interventions on the individualized care plan.
- Work with residents, family members, and interprofessional teams to collect data for the nursing history.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
- Current First Aid with CPR.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check.
- Long Term Care Experience.
We offer a competitive wage leveling rate of pay $41.35 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates.
