About the Role

CWB Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Banking Associate to join our team. As a key player in shaping the credit structuring, execution, and expansion of our Corporate Banking portfolio, you will be responsible for assisting in structuring and promoting new transaction opportunities, conducting high-quality credit analysis and deal structuring activities, and collaborating with clients, financial advisors, and banking partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in structuring and promoting new transaction opportunities alongside Associate Directors and Directors.
  • Conduct high-quality credit analysis and deal structuring activities in line with CWB's standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and banking partners for comprehensive transaction due diligence.
  • Prepare concise credit presentations recommending financing solutions within the Bank's risk parameters.
  • Liaise with CWB Credit Risk Management for credit approvals and syndicated transaction commitments within deadlines.
  • Ensure portfolio compliance with Bank policies and monitor credit quality, escalating issues as needed.
  • Review loan documentation to ensure alignment with CWB's credit authorization.
  • Collaborate with credit support partners for efficient loan administration.
  • Act as a primary credit resource, supporting the Managing Director & Head – Corporate Banking, Loan Syndications & Agency in maintaining high credit quality and developing junior team members' competencies.
Requirements
  • A university degree in business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field.
  • Pursuit of a CBV or CFA designation is desirable.
  • 3+ years of work experience with Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, or Credit Risk Management.
