Automotive Repair Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Estimator to join our team in Williams Lake, British Columbia. As an integral part of our front office team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and sales.
Craftsman Collision is the largest independently owned and operated auto body repair chain in Canada, with a commitment to excellence and a family-like environment. We offer competitive wages ranging from $50,000 to $63,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highest levels of customer service, both internally and externally, with a focus on continuously improving the customer experience.
- Resolve customer service concerns and escalate to the Shop Manager when necessary.
- Determine customer needs, including estimate, repair booking, and transportation requirements.
- Proactively reduce customer effort.
- Interact with customers in a professional and approachable manner.
- Educate customers about claims and repair processes.
- Book estimate appointments over the phone when necessary.
- Provide prompt service to all walk-in customers.
- Inspect and review vehicles for damage to provide accurate estimates.
- Utilize Mitchell, Audatex, and ALLDATA software to prepare estimates.
- Determine eligibility for the Craftsman Accelerated Production Program.
- Ensure vehicle pre-wash and mapping completion as per company standards.
- Prepare final bills for customers prior to vehicle pick-up.
- Identify opportunities for sales growth.
- Work with the Shop Manager to ensure compliance with provincial and national regulatory standards.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred.
- Experience with Mitchell Estimating, Audatex, and ALLDATA an asset.
- Understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of lean management processes an asset.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Proactive, detailed, and organized.
- Proficient in Outlook with a willingness to learn new applications.
- Demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development.
