About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform ECG testing, stress testing, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
  2. Explain procedures and answer patient questions to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process.
  3. Scan and analyze ECG and stress test strips, selecting and assessing portions of test strips for interpretation by medical staff.
  4. Under supervision, assist with Pacemaker interrogation, monitoring, and documentation.
  5. Enter patient test information into our electronic health records database to provide accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient test results and procedures.
  7. Provide training and orientation to new staff members and students on ECG testing procedures and equipment operation.
  8. Contribute to the development and implementation of department policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level, plus two years of recent related experience.
  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting equipment.
