Content Integration Specialist

At PressReader, we're seeking a highly skilled Content Integration Specialist to join our Content Integration Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and relaying technical specifications and requirements to publishers, guiding them through our proprietary testing process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring production and processing of digital newspapers and magazines replicas from around the world.
  • Executing quality control and assurance measures adhering to Service Level Agreements.
  • Providing technical support and services to our international clients and publishing partners.
  • Creating and maintaining information and data in our systems and catalogs.
  • Setting up title restrictions, pricing, catalog metadata, and embargoes.
  • Liaising and collaborating with multiple internal and remote departments and teams.
  • Testing and launching new titles and e-paper projects.
  • Negotiating project details with publishers on operational and technical levels.
  • Relaying technical specifications and requirements to publishers while guiding them through PR Testing process.
  • Configuring and supporting PressReader proprietary content processing software.
  • Maintaining and managing information and data quality in systems and catalogs.
  • Communicating with publishers via email, telephone, and video conference.
  • Providing decision-making support to company staff and partners on publisher issues.

Requirements include:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and listening skills.
  • The ability to be highly flexible and resilient in the face of change and challenges.
  • Efficiency working in a team and the ability to be self-sufficient, requiring minimal supervision.
  • A strong ability to take initiative and demonstrate proactivity.
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows Environment (legacy and current OS).
  • A knowledge of basic networking protocols such as FTP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP.
  • Experience with Adobe PDF software (Creative Suite an asset).

Bonus points if you have:

  • A Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Information Technology, Computing Science, Digital Communications, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the publishing industry, digital and print media, and/or journalism.
  • A second language, both oral and written (Spanish, French, and/or Chinese).
  • Knowledge of programming, scripting, databases, or networking.

PressReader offers a hybrid work environment to balance the flexibility of working from home and being together to collaborate, celebrate, and connect. This position is based in our Richmond, BC office and requires being on-premises two days a week. When not in the office, employees have the opportunity to work remotely.

PressReader is committed to providing a fair compensation package, including a 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefit plan; 15 paid vacation days to start; health and wellness days and bereavement days; reimbursements for professional training and membership in professional associations; fitness subsidy, and more, along with a chance to work with amazing people. The pay range for this role is $50,000 to $55,000, depending on experience.
