Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure production and processing of digital newspapers and magazines replicas from around the world.
  • Execute quality control and assurance measures adhering to Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide technical support and services to our international clients and publishing partners.
  • Create and maintain information and data in our systems and catalogs.
  • Set up title restrictions, pricing, catalog metadata and embargoes.
  • Liaise and collaborate with multiple internal and remote departments and teams.
  • Test and launch new titles and e-paper projects.
  • Negotiate project details with publishers on operational and technical levels.
  • Relay technical specifications and requirements to publishers while guiding them through PR Testing process.
  • Configure and support PressReader proprietary content processing software.
  • Maintain and manage information and data quality in systems and catalogs.
  • Communicate with publishers via email, telephone and video conference.
  • Provide decision-making support to company staff and partners on publisher issues.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and listening skills.
  • The ability to be highly flexible and resilient in the face of change and challenges.
  • Efficiency working in a team and ability to be self-sufficient requiring minimal supervision.
  • A strong ability to take initiative and demonstrate proactivity.
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows Environment (legacy and current OS).
  • A knowledge of basic networking protocols such as FTP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP.
  • Experience with Adobe PDF software (Creative Suite an asset).

Bonus Points:

  • Have a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computing Science, Digital Communications or related field.
  • Understand the publishing industry, digital and print media and/or journalism.
  • Have a second language both oral and written (Spanish, French and/or Chinese).
  • Have the knowledge of programming, scripting, databases or networking.
