About the Role

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting in the overhaul of major components, removing and replacing major components, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overhaul of major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Remove and replace major components, such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Work with senior technicians to develop and implement repair plans
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • 2+ years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance
  • Currently enrolled in an apprentice program
  • Maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
  • Current driver's license class G or class 5 and the ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of being hired required
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
