Diesel Mechanic Job Description

SANDHER TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing issues using computerized testing equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized testing equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work on heavy trucks
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team
Work Conditions:
  • Noisy work environment
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Hand-eye coordination
