Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Assist in the overhaul of major components or remove/replace major components at the direction of a Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Inspect and test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are in proper operating condition
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
Requirements
  • 2+ years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance
  • Currently enrolled in an apprentice program
  • Maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
  • Current driver's license class G or class 5 and the ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of being hired required
