Job Summary

Community Therapists is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community-based rehabilitation role. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients across the rehabilitation continuum, providing a range of services to support their recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans, including goal setting and progress monitoring.
  • Provide education and training to clients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
  • Work with clients to develop and maintain their independence and functional abilities.
  • Liaise with funders, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective care delivery.

Requirements

  • Member of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) or eligible for registration.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with insurance payers and healthcare systems is an asset.
