Job Title: Occupational Therapist - NICU Unit

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our NICU unit in our Rehabilitation Department at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre in Abbotsford, BC.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to patients in our NICU unit. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our interprofessional care team to provide patient-centered care and achieve optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients in the NICU unit
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care and effective communication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice
  • Provide education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
