Executive Director, Transportation Operations

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our trucking company's operations. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the organization and ensuring that our goals and objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to achieve business objectives.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to support the implementation of organizational policies and programs.
- Department Management: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
- Co-ordination: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Financial Management: Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate and approve promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning.
- Leadership: Establish objectives for the organization, formulate or approve policies and programs, and represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions.
- Team Management: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegate necessary authority, and create optimum working conditions.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal awareness and ability to work as a team player.
