About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the logistics operations of the Government of Canada - Central. As an Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation management function, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve logistics operations, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Lead a team of logistics professionals to ensure the effective execution of logistics operations, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics operations, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure the efficient use of resources, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in logistics operations, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead a team of logistics professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics operations.
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory control.
