About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of Nutrition & Food Services within multiple sites of the Western Zone.

The Nutrition Manager will champion the integration of nutrition care and food service, providing nutrition care services to patients, residents, and clients in both institutional, ambulatory, and community settings. This role will also involve collaborating on provincial initiatives and standards, such as the implementation of the Provincial Healthy Eating Policy at applicable sites.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent, completion of an accredited dietetic internship program, and current licensure with Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists or eligibility for licensure. The ideal candidate will have five years of progressive management experience in healthcare as a dietitian, with clinically related practice experience.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will also have the ability to interpret statistical data, monitor quality and performance indicators, and build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of $53.35 hourly. The successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
