Job Summary: Nova Scotia Health seeks a Manager of Nutrition and Food Services to lead the delivery of nutrition care and food services in multiple sites of the Western Zone.

About the OpportunityThe Manager of Nutrition and Food Services, Western Zone supports the Director to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Nutrition & Food Services. The Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling of all aspects of operations and day to day management of NFS within multiple sites of the Western Zone.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
- Current licensure with Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists or eligible for license
- Membership in a professional association, Dietitians of Canada preferred
- Completion of Advanced Food Safety Training preferred
- Five (5) years' progressive management experience in health care as a dietitian in addition to having clinically related practice experience
- Experience in scope of practice for dietitians, dietetic technicians, and food service supervisors, and food service management (patient and retail)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interpret statistical data, and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships, and lead change effectively
- Extensive experience in financial planning and human resource management
- Experience managing in a unionized environment
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, policies and standards
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with ability to manage conflicting deadlines
- Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Travel to other sites is required and must have access to a reliable vehicle
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Permanent, Full-time / 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
Compensation and Benefits$40.15 - $53.35 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
