About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at North Star Pho Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, including vegetables and fruit, using manual and electrical appliances.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all dishes, flatware, and other items are clean and ready for use.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Language: English.
